Second Trial Finds Man Guilty of Drowning Wife in Bathtub

Ryan Widmer, 30, of (???), was recently convicted of killing his wife, drowning her in the bathtub of their home.

Widmar was convicted in February in the death of his wife, Sarah, who died in August 2008. The incident was immediately suspect when emergency crews arrived because the scene of the accident was dry. There was also significant bruising on Sarah Widmer’s body, which the defense said was caused by efforts to revive her.

This was the second trial of Mr. Widmer. The first trial resulted in a mistrial. Widmer is now scheduled to spend the next 15 years to life prison.
