Drowning Victims Finally Identified

The names of drowning victims who died in boating accidents on the Fourth of July weekend in Waupaca County, Wisconsin were released recently, according to reports.

Daniel Nolan, 57, of Manawa WI drowned while trying to capture a boat that had drifted away from him at the Manawa Mill Pond. He was able to grab the rope that attached the boat to the dock, but it pulled him in and he was not able to pull himself into the boat, nor could he swim back to shore.

In an unrelated incident a few miles away in Lake Puckaway, Alan Frischmann, 25, of Saukville, WI, had been missing after jumped from a boat for a swim. The boat drifted away, and Frischmann went beneath the surface, drowning.

On the same weekend, Devin Smith, 22, of Saint Paul, drowned after the boat he was in capsized on Antler Lake in Polk County, reports say. It was unknown if he was alone or with others.
