School Trip Claims Drowning Victim

Montreal Police are reportedly investigating a drowning that occurred at the popular Mont Saint-Sauveur Water Park late last month.

When several attendants began screaming when they noticed a body in the water, officials scrambled to the scene and discovered a nine-year-old boy, who was found unconscious in the park's wave pool.

Although lifeguards dove in to try to save him, even performing CPR on the unconscious youth, when the ambulance arrived at the scene, the situation was hopeless. The boy, who was reportedly on a school outing with classmates from a Laval area school, was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
