Four males, tossed into the water at Illinois' Rock Cut State Park when their canoe capsized, were the source of an emergency call when one of the men went missing.
Illinois Conservation Police were called but were unable to locate the victim. The victim was eventually found when the Loves Park Fire Department arrived and recovered him, reports say.
The victim, 17 year old Mitchel Krause of Rockton Illinois, was transported to a nearby trauma center and pronounced dead, reports say.
None of the four men were wearing life jackets.
